Damigos Tours was founded in 1971 by Nikolaos Damigos,
with the aim of introducing tourism to the promising island of Santorini
with its unparalleled wild beauty and extremely interesting geological morphology.

Beauty and morphology, the two elements that the founder of D.T., Nikolaos Damigos, considered as particularly charming, in order to pioneer the creation of the general tourism office and to start organized tourism on this magnificent volcanic island.

With the impetus given by this first tourist agency (Damigos Tours) in Santorini, the first accommodations appeared on the island. It attracted the attention of major European tour operators, who have been based at Damigos Tours for decades, through which they organize excellent land and sea excursion packages, as well as unique evenings of entertainment for their clients.

With this vision, Damigos Tours continues to equip its facilities on the island of Santorini with the first professional coaches, a highly trained staff and a wide range of organized excursions and activities, which it continues to renew and enrich, always adapting to the new demands of its distinguished clientele.

However, the archaeological and geological interest of Santorini attracts the interest of world-renowned scientists (geologists, volcanologists, archaeologists, oceanographers such as Jacques-Yves Cousteau, who trust D.T.’s readiness and experience in order to organize their research expeditions to the island.

At the same time, Damigos Tours continues to expand its activities in the representation of passenger ships, the issuance of airline tickets, foreign exchange, the organization of hotel packages, as well as the representation of large airline companies – charters – that flood the island, offering them supervision and handling services.

Very soon, D.T. also turned its attention to another emerging market in the tourism industry, cruises. International cruises approaching the island requested representation from Damigos Tours, which, to this day, continues to successfully offer shipping and tourism agency services in the port of Santorini, providing the cruise industry with the experience, dedication and efficiency to guarantee high-quality services.

Today, with its new dynamic composition and as our office continues to develop tourist services and its travel services through the constant search for new tourist attractions activities, discovers a new emerging travel trend, alternative tourism, always aiming to remain a pioneer, reliable and high in demanding preferences of his customers.
